Hey guys! Of course the week that I write my newest blog post I managed to sever 3 tenant in my hand and lose the ability to type for 3 weeks. However, I have recently purchased the handy-dandy software program Dragon. This enables me to type by talking into a headset. Anyways, I will say all that for my next blog post.

Right now, I am trying to get people to “like” my video for the AFP Best Job Ever contest. This job would give me a $10,000 travel budget to cover the major ski contests throughout the ski season. I think I am the perfect candidate because of my knowledge of the sport and my experience in journalism. Besides, wouldn’t you guys want to see my face every time you are looking for quick coverage of each event.

So please vote for me, it would really help me out.

Man in the Bathroom Manifesto

Hello to all of my Internet friends,
It has been a long time since I last typed a blog post on my own site. However, something revolutionary happened a couple weeks back. I was at the Level 1 premiere for After Dark enjoying a night of entertainment mixed with partying. After several drinks my body registered a familiar feeling. No it was not the feeling of intoxication. I realized that I really needed to take a pee. As I slowly made my way to the bathroom I was greeted by several familiar faces. The last face I saw was that of Liam Downey. He looked at me and gave me a great piece of advice, “Hey Schroy, if you use one hand you only have to wash one hand.” At that moment I noticed another man standing at a urinal doing what I needed to be doing. He looked in my general direction and asked, “Are you Schroy as in B. Schroy?”. I quickly responded, “Indeed I am.” He then continued, “Man, you really gotta start blogging again. I used to read your stuff all the time and I miss it”. I was blown away. This man, who I had never met before, had been reading my blog. When I read my blog I see a bunch of typed verbal diarrhea, not influential or comical material. I guess, as they say, “one man’s trash is another man’s treasure.” So this blog post goes out to my homeboy in the bathroom. I want you to know that you have changed my life and I will blog once again for you. And to all those other blogs who have slowed down, just know that there is someone out there in a bathroom that wants you to open your Macbook Pro and get after it for old time sake.

Road Trip Across Little America

When driving from Utah to Colorado you encounter one obstacle that really gets in the way… Wyoming. This 380 miles of nothing makes a sane man begin to see double. However, as soon as the Wyoming boarder is reached all signs point to Little America. This tacky tourist trap is has become a legendary landmark. It is essentially just a truck stop with a motel attached, but to me it is so much more. It has become my mecca, my holy grail, and especially my mandatory pit stop. On my road trip today I decided to document the billboards that guide you to this little piece of heaven.

From cyclers getting into shapes to hipster skidding on fixed gears, biking has become a popular trend in our society. Fortunately, biking is a low cost form of transportation that leaves a very small carbon footprint. Bamboo bikes allow for a smoother ride than other bicycles, because it is a natural shock absorber. All bicycles are custom fitted in the style of your choice: fixed gear or single speed.
